Individual meeting with your mediator

The individual meeting with your mediator is private and will be arranged at a time to suit you. The meeting can be face to face at a place of your choice or an on-line video call.

This meeting is your opportunity to talk about what has been happening with the child/young person and to share your concerns and issues with the mediator.  The mediator will explain the mediation process and answer any questions you may have while planning next steps with you, focusing on solutions and positive options.

Where appropriate the mediator can also speak with the child or young person to get their views.

Discussions are confidential and you should agree what information the mediator can share with other parties or at future mediation meetings.

The mediator is unbiased, impartial and will not make judgements.
